"Tracing the History" Tour
[Approx. 40 min]

This tour guides you through the history of the provision of telecommunications services in Japan, which started with the launch of the telegraph services in 1869. The service providers evolved in a series of steps from the Ministry of Communications to the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, to Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation, to the privatized Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, and finally to the NTT Group. This tour is designed to be easy to understand even by those unfamiliar with telecommunications. The NTT Group's history of technology and services is presented against the backdrop of broader societal changes.

"Exploring the Technologies" Tour
[Approx. 35 min]

The tour introduces the key NTT Group technologies that symbolize each historical era, such as switching systems and mobile communications, centering on the exhibits in the "Technology Approaches" section. This tour provides a brief overview of telecommunications technologies.

"Exploring the History and Technologies"

This is the basic course that allows you to view the entire NTT History Center of Technologies. After viewing the NTT History Center of Technologies guidance video, the participants will enjoy a tour combining aspects of the "Tracing the History" and "Exploring the Technologies" tours.
